At Rutgers we have a wonderful CruST, which stands for CRU Servant Team, who are excited to be serving the Rutgers community by expanding and strengthening the Kingdom here! Their work involves setting vision for each semester, planning and organizing weekly meetings, leading small groups/Bible studies, planning larger out-reach events and most importantly fostering Christ-centered community with-in CRU as a whole. Below are some short introductions to the current members. Feel free to reach out to any/ all of them using the contact info provide with questions or just to grab coffee/tea/or really any beverage of your choice… and/or a meal; they really like food 🙂
Charlene Manalaysay is a fourth year SEBS student pursuing a major in public health and a minor in psychology and the head of CruST for the 2018-’19 school year! A few of her favorite Bible verses are Hebrews 4:15-16: “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Charlene’s favorite Rutgers bus is the LX before 10am and her least favorite bus is the LX after 10am! If you see a bright red mustang cruising around on campus, feel free to peer in and wave hi to her! When she’s not studying or driving to and from campus, you can find her reading or watching The Office! You can contact Charlene at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or want to meet up to chat!
Andrea Pfaff is a fourth year Mason Gross student double majoring in Marine Sciences and Digital Film (and yes, she knows it’s an odd combination). After being a member of CRU for the past three years at Rutgers she is excited to be on Servant Team again for the 2018-’19 school year. While she’s not driving herself crazy trying to do two majors, she loves to do some photography, burst out singing at the randomest moments and pretend she can play guitar despite her training as a violinist. Her three favorite things are bubbles (the edible and the soapy kind), kites and puppets. One of Andrea’s favorite verses is Hebrews 10:23 which says “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for He is faithful that promised” and she can’t wait to meet and get to know the new members of CRU this upcoming year! If you have any questions for Andrea email her at email@example.com and/or text her at (609)658-4656.
Bobby Randolph is a Senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Aerospace. When he’s not learning in class about designing planes he is building model planes with the AIAA or flying real ones (he has his pilot’s license). He also likes hiking, biking, kayaking and most outdoor activities in general. During his freshman year, Bobby tried going to another Christian Fellowship meeting and accidentally ended up at Cru instead and has been there since. He is excited to meet the new freshmen (and upperclassmen that may be new to Cru) and to be a part of Servant Team this year. Bobby can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 732-664-4962. Contact him if you want to talk about Cru, get info on small group Bible Study, ask Bible Study questions, come flying, get recommendations for hiking spots, get help applying for NASA internships, figure out how tall he is, or whatever.
Erin Kelly is a fourth year student in the School of Arts and Sciences studying Biology and Spanish. She enjoys climbing trees, eating cookie dough, and smelling all the lotions in Bath and Body Works. When she’s not teaching, working in the lab, or riding an ambulance around the Piscataway area, she enjoys gardening, running, and cooking (unless it’s cookie dough- which she eats raw). She likens herself to the A bus: short, constantly traveling between Busch and College Ave, and often headed in the wrong direction. One of her favorite verses is 2 Corinthians 12:9: “but He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness’. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me”. If you have questions for Erin email her at email@example.com or text her at (609)571-5533. #withdathelmetofsalvation
Abigail Pinto is a third year Rutgers Business School student pursuing a degree in Finance. After attending Cru for two years, she is excited to be a part of CruST and for the year ahead. Abigail enjoys drinking coffee and eating good food with friends. When she’s not in class, she’s probably drinking bubble tea somewhere. One of her favorite verses is Lamentations 3:22-23 “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” If you have any questions, you can reach Abigail by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (609)349-9494.
Raymond Williamson is a third year student in the School of Arts and Sciences studying Criminal Justice and Psychology as well as Philosophy. He has been in CRU since freshman year and is looking forward to being a part of CruST. He also works as a classroom assistant for the Physics Lecture Hall, thankfully he has not been blown up yet. He also loves sports especially football, he will always be willing to defend his hometown Eagles anytime. Ray can be found on any campus at any time so always be on the lookout for Ray and his cello Shelli. He also has an intense love of music as well as the word of God. One of the verses that Ray likes to remember is James 1:2-4, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If you wish to contact Ray and want to know more about CRU please contact him through his email email@example.com, or text him at 267-800-4544
