At Rutgers, we recognize the need and importance of meeting in smaller groups to foster closer knit communities and discussion-based growth for our members. Our Small Groups are based on the early church model from Acts 2:42-47 and are most often a Bible Study format. Bellow are the small groups currently in session. Scroll down for descriptions of each and contact info for the student leaders in charge of the group. Feel free to reach out with any questions you might have regarding the group.
Night Time Apologetics Bible Study
Tuesdays @ 9:30PM Starting on Feb 4 | Academic Building (room changes on a weekly basis)
Contact Michael Cardone( 973-513-0447) or Amanda Greene(973-513-0447) with any questions:
We meet in the Academic Building and are open to any member of the Rutgers community. We don’t want to shy away from tough questions that people have about God or the bible, rather we want to use them as a way to reach the questioning person. Each week we will pick a question/topic and talk about it, learning together.
If we need to spend more time on a topic we will and if there is something really bothering you bring it up and we might talk about it in the coming weeks.
Spiritual Growth Bible Study

Book of Job Bible Study

We know all too well that our world is full of suffering and evil. What is harder to discern is how God calls us to trust in him. We ask ourselves, “why would God allow this to happen?” Join our Bible study on Job to meditate on what it means to trust God even through the toughest of circumstances.
(dates & times TBD)|89 Nelson Ave. S., Piscataway (Water’s Residence)
Contact Karen Waters with any questions: firstname.lastname@example.org
Women’s time is a chance for the women of CRU to gather at our staff member’s home about once a month and be poured into by Karen Waters who is a wonderful mentor and friend. This time is often focused around a certain topic which we explore through its Biblical context and what God has to say about it, as well as discussion. Come out for a wonderfully uplifting time the includes many delicious snacks to boot!
From Karen: This group is designed to be a place of encouragement, prayer, and keeping us connected as a community of women of God. In between the times when we can get together in person, feel free to post in our Facebook group what God is teaching you, those more personal prayer requests, or encouragements! The prayer and hope of this group is that we will stay connected and push each other towards God’s will in our lives. “Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another all the more as you see the day drawing near” Hebrews 10:24-25

There is no set topic but we use the time to build each other up in the Lord and to deal with the difficulties young men face in today’s world. Make sure to talk to Ray if you would like to know when the next Men’s Time is scheduled or have questions about the structure of these meetings!
